Luka Doncic says that “the whole body seems better” after the summer of change: “This is only the beginning”
Luka Doncic is a changed man.
Just look at the photos that accompany a new function of “male health” on the superstar of the Lakers.
It is demolished. It is toned.
“Only visually, I would say that all my body seems better,” said Doncic in the article published on Monday.

His altered physique, however, is not what Doncic makes a changed man. His elegant new look is the result of much bigger changes in his lifestyle in this offseason.

According to the article, Doncic was at home in Croatia where he arrives in two 90 minutes per day training. The sessions included Deadlift, benches for dumbbells, lateral limits, band exercises, sprints and obstacles. Training end with Doncic on jumping shots that shoot basketball on the pitch.
And Doncic’s eating habits have also changed. Its diet is now gluten -free, low sugar and high protein content. It also uses an intermittent fasting plan that the article states that “designed to limit inflammation and help its body to recover better”.

The Maverks selected Doncic with the third overall choice in the draft 2018. It was the debutant of the NBA year in that season. Guard 6-6 is an All-Star selection five times and has brought the Maverick to the NBA finals of 2024.
But in early February, Doncic was sent to the Lakers in an agreement that sent Anthony Davis to Dallas. According to an Espn report at the time, the Maverick started the talks at least in part due to the “significant frustration within the organization on Doncic’s lack of discipline as regards his diet and conditioning”.

Doncic recognized that the narrative during his introductory press conference with the Lakers on February 4th and said he would motivate him to go on.

“It’s a reason,” said Doncic. “I know it’s not true. I know. But it’s a reason … it’s a great reason for a long run here.”
Apparently, he meant. The day after the Lakers were eliminated by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs, says the male health article, Doncic sent a message to his manager saying that he was ready to start his workouts out of season.
Doncic worked with the same trio of fitness experts – a physiotherapist, a coach and a nutritionist – since 2023, but this offseason has been different.
“I think that this summer he sees the difference, and he is really happy,” said Javier Barrio, Doncic’s physiotherapist, in Men’s Health.

Doncic has indicated that his new dedication to wellness will not end the season once started.
“This year, with my team, I think we took a huge step,” he said. “But this is only the beginning, you know. I have to go on. I can’t stop.”
He added: “If I stop now, it was all for nothing.”
