Maghi entering the mix of Jonathan Kuminga in the free agency – NBC Sports Bay Area and California

Jonathan Kuminga’s situation has no resolution yet in the early hours of the fifth day of the NBA free agency.
As expected, the Warriors are exploring all the options and it seems that a new potential pretender has entered the mix.
The Washington Wizards have shown interest for the last 24 hours, reported Athletic Anthony Slater on Thursday evening, citing League sources, adding that Kuminga’s idea as possible adaptation to Washington’s reconstruction “gained a real momentum”.
Washington, who arrived last at the Eastern Conference with only 18 wins in the 2024-25 season, is giving priority to the development of his young nucleus around Bub Carrington, Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr. The Wizards also mistaken for CJ McCollum and Khris Middleton in this low season.
Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets have also expressed “various levels of interest” forward, wrote Slater, citing championship sources.
Slater also notes that the Kings offer for Kuminga, which was reported by NBC Sports California Wednesday, of a discussion of a three -team sign that would have sent Kuminga to Sacramento and Devin Carter, Dario Å arić and two shooting choices of the second round at Golden State. The offer was opposed to what warriors believe was an attempt to “purchase”, Slater reported, citing sources.
As for the requested price of the Warriors for Kuminga, Slater reported looking for “a promising young player plus a choice of the first round”.
Kuminga, which was selected n. 7 In total in the draft of the NBA of 2021, he is looking for a situation in which he can be a coherent contributor and the future of a franchise that supports and believes in him. It was not the case of Kuminga in the golden state in the last four years.
Starting now, all things remain on the table, including Kuminga’s return to the team that drafted him.
Only time will say it.
