Man City star Erling Haaland reacts to Arsenal Premier League title win with classy message
Manchester City saw their reign as Premier League champions come to an end on Tuesday night when they were held by Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium
Erling Haaland has followed in the footsteps of Pep Guardiola by congratulating Arsenal on winning the Premier League title. The Gunners were crowned champions for the first time in 22 years after City were held to a 1-1 draw at Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Haaland equalised in the fifth minute of added time at Vitality Stadium to cancel out Junior Kroupi’s first-half opener, but Guardiola’s side could not find a last-gasp winner to take the title race to the final day.
And taking to Instagram on Wednesday night, the forward wrote: “Not the ending we hoped for, but we’ll use this feeling the right way next season. To every City fan who travelled with us this season, thank you Congrats to Arsenal for the title.”

Speaking in an interview with City TV after the game, the Norway international said: “Every game in the Premier League is difficult, we tried, it wasn’t enough.
“The whole club should use this as motivation now. We should be angry, we should feel a fire inside our belly because it’s not good enough. It’s gone two years now, it feels like forever.
“We’re going to do everything we can, everyone that will be here next season, to win the league.”
He added: “Everything’s relative; it was better than last season. I felt that we could still push a little bit more in the league but it’s over now.
“We win two trophies, which is important, but we want the Premier (League) as well.”
Speaking after the game on the South Coast, Guardiola congratulated Mikel Arteta and his side, saying: “[I need to] congratulate Arsenal, Mikel and the backroom staff, the fans for the Premier League which they deserved.
“I would love to have arrived in the last moment. Today the fatigue was there. Bournemouth had 12 days to prepare. The impact from the fresh players was not good enough.
“We fought a lot and we prepare next season. With the club, I always talk. But not now. The first thing you should understand, I have to talk with the chairman first.
“We will talk in the next few days. First, we have to talk with the chairman what we have to do.”
