Marc Guehi ‘ready to snub Man City’ as new Liverpool or Arsenal revelation emerges
Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City as he enters the final months of his contract at Selhurst Park.
Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi would rather move to Arsenal or Liverpool than Manchester City. Guehi almost headed to Anfield last summer, before the proposed deal went through, leaving his future uncertain.
The centre-back’s contract is set to expire in 2026. And Palace boss Oliver Glasner has admitted he could leave Selhurst Park this month if a suitable offer is presented to him.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are all keeping a close eye on the 25-year-old. However, current leaders Arsenal, who increased their lead at the top after a goalless draw against Liverpool on Thursday, are also said to have thrown their hat into the ring.

And Sam Lee of The Athletic claimed in an interview for the Let Me Talk podcast that City were behind Liverpool and Arsenal in the race for the Palace defender.
He said: “On Monday night, someone who knows what’s going on at City, but probably at Palace as well, told me that they think Guehi wants to stay until the summer and that he prefers Liverpool (to City) anyway.
“Someone else messaged me on Twitter (X) and I know he’s really good at other club stuff, he said, ‘Yeah, he wants to stay until the summer – and he likes Liverpool and Arsenal’.
It remains to be seen whether or not Arsenal will be willing to make an offer or wait until the summer when Guehi’s contract expires. However, the Gunners were interested in Guehi last summer, before deciding to go in a different direction and signing Spanish prospect Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia, while Piero Hincapie also arrived from Bayer Leverkusen.
Liverpool had a bid of £35 million plus £5 million in add-ons agreed last summer, but failed to get that deal on transfer deadline day, and Palace will know they can secure a similar fee in January, with City keen after losing key defenders Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias to injury, while John Stones is also out.
“I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen,” Glasner said of Guehi earlier this week. “If you just value the sport, everyone at the club will say Marc must stay.
“The president will tell you the same thing. But it’s not one-dimensional.
“Nothing in life is one-dimensional. So if you see the financial situation, it’s very important. Everyone wants him to play for Crystal Palace, sign a new contract and stay here forever.
“That’s what everyone will tell you. On the other hand, there is the situation where the contract ends in the summer and, if someone arrives, there will be a moment when the club will say, now the financial question is more important than the sporting question.
“I’m not so naive as not to know that if a massive offer comes from City and Marc wants to do it, it will happen.”
