Marco Silva names Arsenal star who is ‘impossible to stop’ after Fulham loss

Marco Silva named one Arsenal player who was ‘unstoppable’ as Fulham lost 1-0 to the Gunners in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Gunners scored another free-kick goal as Leandro Trossard scored the only goal of the game to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League, although Liverpool will reduce it to a point if they beat Manchester United on Sunday.
The only goal of the match came when Arsenal Defender Gabriel Magalhaes won a throw-in from a corner in the 58th minute, with Leandro Trossard putting the ball into the net at the far post.
And Fulham boss Silva admitted Gabriel is ‘unstoppable’ and ‘very difficult to control’ when coming in from corners or free-kicks.
Silva told the BBC’s Match of the Day: “When you lose a match it’s always disappointing. They were at a very good level.
“We created chances to score before Arsenal. They were more on that than ourselves. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy, a difficult team to play against but I think we kept them away from big chances in the game.

“After the goal we reacted and started playing more our way again.
“Gabriel jumps so high that it’s impossible to stop him. It’s very difficult to control.
“The way we tried to block his run, for most of the game, we did it very well. We were too open and gave Gabriel the path. We didn’t want him to run in that part. Any movement is very difficult to control at the far post.”
In his post-match press conference, Silva added: “It’s frustrating, right, it’s difficult to stop, attacking set pieces are not just about one, two, three players, but the takers, they’re lucky because they have very good takers as well.

“It’s a tough challenge for you, when Arsenal play other teams it’s a tough challenge for them, I think it’s about both situations, not just the teams they play against.
“I think they scored 60% of their goals from set pieces, that shows their power at that time.
“The frustration for us is that we showed throughout the match that we were well prepared for that moment, but it’s the kind of match where you have to stay focused for 90, 95 minutes, most of the time we did a very good job, at one point we let him (Gabriel) go with power, the way he jumped was very difficult to control, even when the shot comes to the near post, it’s much more difficult to control at the second pole.”
