Martin Odegaard meets back at the Arsenal Club legend and defends captain style | Football

Martin Odegaard has struck back at Arsenal legend Tony Adams and defended his captain style.
Norway International was handed over the bracelet three years ago and has led a young team that showed up as the top four challengers to the brink of the Premier League Gladness.
After finishing as a runner up three seasons on the trot, Adams believes that a change of capacity may be the decisive factor to help his old club get over the line.
Adams, who shipped four title -winning teams under George Graham and Arsene Wenger, has promoted the cause of Declan Rice and Fear Arsenal will never land the prices they long for with Odegaard carrying the bracelet.

He said: ‘The conversation is to make Declan Rice the captain. I think Declan is my kind of captain, and it can release ODEGAARD to play with a little more freedom, Adams said.
“Every now and then as a manager you have to put someone who reflects you, who reflects the football club that you think can actually take you to the next level.
“He (Arteta) has been given an opportunity this year to actually turn into a winner,” he added. “To win league titles you have to be a (Jurgen) Klopp, you have to be a (Sir Alex) Ferguson.
“You have to lead by example, you have to be a winner, you have to go to your business. And it reflects your captain.
“And I see Declan Rice as the captain but I say to Arteta: Come on, got up now. It’s your time to be a winning manager and a fantastic manager, because you won’t win the league with Odegaard as captain. ‘
Before the new campaign, Odegaard was asked about his leadership style and revealed details about what he thinks makes him such an effective leader.
He told Sky Sports: ‘It’s a lot to be fair. There are many small things. It is difficult to describe it, it is more like a constant role you do.
“There are always these little things you have to do. In general, that’s exactly how I see it is to get the best out of the team and how to give the team the right way of thinking. Help the players around you, get the best way of thinking in everyone.

“I think before the game just on the pitch I do a little (Team Talk) and inside the dressing room we have different people talking.
“It’s not just me, there are many who share the responsibility and the boss also does a lot. It’s a shared thing. It’s not just me all the time. ‘
Adam’s view, in the meantime, clearly holds some water with Arteta, which launched a passionate defense of Odegaard before Sunday’s blockbuster against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Mikel Arteta defends Martin Odegaard

“Martin has hundreds of qualities and everyone who has encountered him will notice them very quickly,” he said.
“The biggest thing is that in order to be appointed as the captain, who is respected and especially admired by someone, he does not have to shout.
‘It’s a massive quality. Many people talk and shout, and then when you close the door they do something very different.
“Martin doesn’t have to open his mouth and everyone says” he is my captain, I want him to represent, I trust him 100 percent, he is the guy I want next to me. “
