FC Porto fans have been delighted with the recent performances of Jakub Kiwior, who has been flying this season in Liga NOS.

Francesco Farioli’s side currently lead by five points in the Portuguese top flight and are on course to win their first league title since 2022.

At the heart of Porto’s defense, Kiwior has been one of the team’s most crucial players and is expected to play a key role in what could be a historic season.

Porto are yet to lose a game, 14 games into the new campaign, and have only conceded four times, which is partly down to Kiwior’s brilliance.

Following the team’s latest 3-1 win over Estrela Amadora, the club’s supporters took to X to share their appreciation for the defender.

One fan said: “If we win the championship, this will be where we win it. Sporting cheated with Gyokeres, and we cheated with Kiwior.”

“I don’t think we realized how important this sign was. Thanks for everything, Arsenal,” said another.

The defender received even more praise: “Best central defender in the league, he is miles ahead of all the other defenders.”

Mikel Arteta will have mixed feelings over Jakub Kiwior’s form

Arteta will surely have mixed feelings about Kiwior’s form, as despite being paid well for him, he could have been a useful asset to this Arsenal team.

Last season the Pole stepped up when needed and Arsenal could now really do with another defender in their ranks. Currently, the Gunners are without Gabriel, Ben White and Cristhian Mosquera, which leaves them with some light in defense.

Kiwior also offered Arteta versatility by making 38 appearances at centre-back, but he also played at left-back on 25 occasions.

The Gunners could really use a player like him right now, so seeing him doing so well at Porto will be quite frustrating.
