Mohammed Kudus says Arsenal missed out on signing a player who’s even better than Mo Salah

Mohammed Kudus spoke about his favorite players, and one of them was a huge talent that Arsenal failed to sign many years ago.
The Gunners have unfortunately missed out on some big-name players over the years, including Cristiano Ronaldo.
Before signing for Manchester United, Ronaldo said he “was a hair’s breadth away” from signing for the north London club.
The Portuguese legend is just one of several players Arsenal have failed to land, and Kudus has just praised another star.

Mohammed Kudus chooses Yaya Touré ahead of Mo Salah
Mohammed Kudus has chosen Yaya Toure ahead of Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah as the greatest African player of all time.
Asked by TNT Sports about his favorite African player of all time, the Tottenham winger replied: “I like Yaya Toure, so I will go with him. »
Touré was close to signing for the north London club during Arsène Wenger’s tenure as manager, but the deal was never completed.
In 2003, Touré had a trial at Arsenal, but the French manager was not convinced by the Ivorian, who actually played as a striker in a friendly match against Barnet.
Wenger later described him as a “top player” and said he could play “anywhere”, but on that day the former Barcelona star was “completely average”.
The former Arsenal boss also admitted that issues with Toure’s work permit were another reason why the north London club failed to sign him.
Arsenal’s five worst failed transfers
Ronaldo’s failed move to Highbury must be the Gunners’ biggest failure, but along with Toure, he is just one of many.
In a Sky Sports report, Wenger claimed to have met with Ronaldinho about joining Arsenal, but he later joined Paris Saint-Germain.
- Cristiano Ronaldo
- Ronaldinho
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic
- Luis Suarez
- Kylian Mbappé
Meanwhile, in 2000, Ibrahimovic rejected Arsenal after being asked for a trial, to which he claims he responded: “I don’t do trials. You either want me or you don’t.”
Another failed transfer happened when Arsenal offered £40 million plus £1 for Luis Suarez, which Liverpool ultimately rejected in 2013.
Finally, Kylian Mbappe rejected Arsenal in 2013, with the World Cup winner choosing to sign for AS Monaco instead.
