NBA 2K26 provides for the season: Lebron’s Retirement Tour, the historical season of SGA and a Knicks title

NBA Typeff could be even more than a month, but Hoops fans are already hitting the (virtual) hard wood thanks to the NBA 2k26 just published. For the second consecutive year, Yahoo Sports is simulating an entire season and sees if the main basketball video game franchise can accurately include how the association will take place in 2025-26.

Last year’s simulation was a bit difficult – in his defense, he could whoever Have you planned Luka Dončić’s trade who alters the championship? So there is really no other place to go. Before even being able to start simulating the real games, 2k pushed me with a message that Lebron James was planning to withdraw after the season and asked me if I would allow him to take a retirement tour. We came across this same situation in the simulation last year with Chris Paul (who is not very retired), but since we were marking in everything, because not letting the greatest player of this generation made his well -deserved tour of victory.

As for James’ 41 years, he scored on average 21.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.5 assists while he started all 82 games. James and rebounds of James would mark the lowest of his career, but he still managed to help the Lakers to a record of 45-37 and the seed n. 8 in the Western Conference.

2k loves Maverick

For the second consecutive year, the 2K SIM has a great confidence in Jason Kidd and the Maverick. After predicting that Dallas would go 63-19 last season, with Jason Kidd who brought home coach of the Year and Maverks raised Larry O’Brien Trophy, 2k doubled and made them end 64-18 and Kidd won Coty again.

The Mavs season was mainly guided by a serious improvement by Klay Thompson, who shot 46.3% of 3 -point career and allowing 108.9 points per game, making Dallas the best defensive team of the League.

Is it possible that Dallas has a monster season in 2025-26? Of course, especially with the number 1 of the overall choice Cooper Flagg in the mix, but this result easily puts the Maverick in the category of the biggest surprise of the entire simulation.

Flagg surprises none

While we are on the theme of the Mavericks, it should not be a shock for anyone who Flagan – one of the most anticipated NBA perspectives in recent memory – went away with the Rookie of the Year prize in our simulation.

Flagg marked on average 15.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.2 titles in 73 games (72 departures) through his beginner campaign, playing a significant role as a third marker in Dallas and creating the first All-Rookie team.

Winner of the NBA Cup

Magic has passed the Clippers 122-119 in the final of the NBA Cup, capturing the crown of the seasonal tournament. Desmond Bane, recently acquired, has been appointed MVP of the NBA Cup, with an average of 31.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists in the tournament.

The meeting of Orlando and Los Angeles in the final would have made six unique final participants from the beginning of the tournament in 2023-24.

Everyone beats the magician (Ards)

Bias Nord -est apart from the word game of this subsection, Washington’s simulation was nothing to joke about. After completing 18-64 last season, NBA 2K includes a complete fund from the Wizards franchise in 2025-26.

Washington ended 8-74, beating both the 76ers of 1972-73 for the worst record (9-73) and the record of Bobcats 2011-12 for the worst percentage of victory (.106). The Wizards started the 0-19 season on the course to have the worst defense of the League (127.8 points permitted to the game) and finish the 31st in PPG (109.3).

Disappointment to Denver

As badly like Washington, it is difficult to imagine that they are a legitimate contender who heads for the season. Denver, on the other hand, will always be apparently in the mix as long as Nikola Jokić is healthy and in the conversation as the best basketball player on the planet.

This is what has made record 40-42 of the nuggets-a drop of 10 games last season-sucking. Jokić was his usual dominant self, ending with 30.3 points, 12.8 rebounds and 8.8 assists in the season, but Jamal Murray has lost significant time, playing only 37 games in the regular season. In the end Houston lost against the Timberwolves in seven games in the first round of the playoffs.

MVP and more

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, one of the coverage athletes of NBA 2k26, is classified in total 98 and it was very easy to understand why. SGA brought home its second consecutive MVP prize, with an average of 35.9 absurd points together with 4.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 2.1 stolen.

To put his score in perspective, the last time an NBA score sample closed with a higher average was 1986-87, when Michael Jordan scored on average 37.09 points per game. The only other player in the history of the NBA with an average high points per game is Wilt Chamberlain, who won seven consecutive score titles in the 1960s.

So who won everything?

Both the finals of the Eastern and Western Conference went to seven games, with the Knicks who managed to ignore the knights and the Clippers who exceed the Maverks to create a coastal clash between New York and Los Angeles. Karl-Anthony Towns and James Harden brought home the respective MVP prizes of the conference before fighting for the first prize of the League.

In another thriller of seven games, the Knicks have been able to defeat the clippers, capturing the first NBA championship of the franchise since 1973. To make things even sweeter for Knicks fans, Jalen Brunson has played the hero throughout the series, including a 47 -point mammoth effort in game 7, earning Bill Russell Finals with the MVP accounts. Through seven games, Brunson scored on average 33 points, 2.9 rebounds and 6.9 assists.

While the Knicks enter the season as one of the favorites to get out of the Eastern Conference, the future of the clippers, as mentioned at the beginning of this article, is a little more dark.
