NBA Summer League Day 3: Bronny James showing improvement, everyone loves Yuki Kawamura

Las Vegas – Two courts, eight games, there is a lot to see the first weekend of the Las Vegas of the 2025 NBA Summer League. Here are some notes and the salient points we have seen.
Bronny James showing improvement
The hype around Bronny James did not applaud. As tried, for the opening game of the opening evening of the Las Vegas Summer League, the NBA has chosen to combine the second year player and the choice n. 55 against choice n. 1 and the nascent star Cooper Flagg. The League saw that like its biggest attraction (and it was right, the game was the fourth game of the highest summer championship that Espn ever showed).
Ignore the hype. On the pitch, Summer League acts as a stick for players. Their first year poses a base, but when they come back, the question becomes: do we see the improvement?
Let’s do with Bronny James. It seems considerably improved.

Bronny seemed strong in transition, but the most obvious improvements are mid -field. His handle has improved, and with this he had a little confidence. His vision of the court and the decision -making process could be what the big leap did.
“His transition from pick and rolls and really sees,” said the coach of the Lakers Lindsey Harding of Bronny’s improvement. “And it’s not just the passage for the great rolling, it is if the low man approaches, he sees the man in the corner. Just? It is the whole floor. And I think it is easy to see a reading, but how, it is developing everything else. Understanding where all the others are from on the floor and where their defenders come from.”
There is still work to do if Bronny wants to become part of the rotation of the Lakers, with the greatest being that his shot must improve. In Saturday’s match against Pellicani, Bronny entered and shot 4 out of 6 in the paint, but was 1 out of 5 out of 3 episodes. This follows a trend, through the whole Bronny summer league it is 4 out of 18 of 3.
What the Lakers are trying to do with Summer League is to get bronny more repetitions, especially in higher pressure moments.
“We want playing on the ball. We want me to play out of the ball. Especially in tight moments,” Harding said. “I like the ball in my hands and I want you to make those decisions. You can cross all the exercises you want, but nothing beats live. So when you are live, make your decisions and then you also learn by movies.”
Bronny is learning, is improving and shows it on the pitch.
Favorite by fans in Las Vegas? Yuki Kawamura
Cooper who? Bronny, are you kidding?
The favorite of the fans of the Summer League is Yuki Kawamura, the 5’8 “Japanese star” who is playing for the Bulls in Las Vegas – and makes play that illuminate the crowd.
Kawamura was the shortest person with a NBA contract last season (two -way with the Grizzlies) and got 22 games for Memphis. Before then, fans could remember that he played for Japan at the Paris Olympics, where he had an average of 20.3 points and 7.7 assists per game.
He is playing everything and organizes a show in Las Vegas, trying to earn another shot in the NBA.
Other notes from the whole summer league
• Take a look at the story of Noah Rubin from the battle of choices no. 1 and n. 2, Cooper Flagg and Dylan Harper. It was a good day for Flagg – and Carter Bryant.
• Jeremiah fear is fun to watch. The buckets of Jeremiah fear are fun.
Even his missed are fun – and there have been many. Through two games in Las Vegas, the fears are 9 out of 33 (27.3%). Play without, well, fear and will make hard blows, but it seems a bit accelerated to the Summer League. Efficiency should derive from time.
• Maxime Raynaud will be heard. Maxime Raynaud wins the prize for most of the Summer League vocal player. The French center of 7 feet that played last season in Stanford was a choice of the second round of the kings, constantly calls opposing games in defense, trying to warn his teammates of what is coming-and is not quiet about it. This is a good thing. Raynaud has signed a three -year $ 5.9 million contract with Sacramento. He will be there in the autumn and the fans will listen to him.
• Edgecombe still outside. The 76ers VJ Edgecombe has not yet made its debut in the Summer League of Las Vegas due to a thumb injury. Will we see it or 76er will they close it for the rest of the summer league?
