New footage has shown Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior angry at Arsenal stars ahead of their Carabao Cup semi-final clash on Tuesday night.

Chelsea were beaten 1-0 on the night by Mikel Arteta’s side, with Kai Havertz scoring in second-half injury time for the Gunners.

The Blues had been pegged back after trying to equalize following a 3-2 first-leg defeat, but Rosenior’s side ultimately bowed out of the competition after a 4-2 aggregate defeat.

Footage has since emerged of an excited Rosenior swearing at Arsenal stars during pre-match warm-ups.

Rosenior was watching his Chelsea team prepare for the match at the Emirates, but the 41-year-old’s attention was caught by Arsenal players straying into their own half during the warm-up.

The visibly annoyed Chelsea boss could be seen shouting at Arsenal players or staff, while giving them an X-rated order to stay in their own half.

“Stay in your half, stay in your fucking half,” Rosenior could be seen shouting.

The Chelsea boss continued to look in the direction of his rivals, before repeating “stay there” one last time.

Rosenior had adapted his approach for the match, with Chelsea lining up in a back three against the Gunners.

Chelsea limited the hosts to just a handful of chances, with the game remaining delicately balanced in the first half.

Rosenior tried to turn the tie in Chelsea’s favor with the introductions of Cole Palmer and Estevao on the hour mark.

Alejandro Garnacho, scorer of both Chelsea goals in the first leg, was introduced in the 75th minute as they tried to equalize.

Chelsea ultimately had just two shots on target in the second leg, with pundit Paul Merson accusing the Blues of going out of the competition “with a whimper”.

Rosenior defended his approach post-match and stressed his Chelsea side executed their game plan, but admitted they lacked the quality in the final third to break through the Arsenal defence.

“I have been here for less than a month and we have played eight games in that time, so I have to pay tribute to the players for the performances they have given and show that they are learning, that they are showing the spirit, the solidarity and that the team fight is there,” Rosenior said.

“There are a lot of encouraging signs, but now we need to see what we look like after a setback.

“We need to react positively in a difficult away game against Wolves on Saturday. I need to see what our reaction is.

The two semi-final matches were the only defeats Rosenior has overseen since taking charge at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have won all three of their Premier League games since taking charge, including their dramatic 3-2 win over West Ham after trailing 2-0 at half-time.

The Blues have also qualified for the fourth round of the FA Cup and the last 16 of the Champions League in recent weeks.
