Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal: Predicted lineup today and confirmed team news | Football
Arsenal are hoping to welcome back some of their injured stars for today’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest.
William Saliba and Leandro Trossard both started against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup in midweek despite doubts before kick-off.
The Gunners emerged from this clash at Stamford Bridge without further problems, with Viktor Gyokeres also scoring a goal which could be enough to keep his place in the starting XI for another week.
Riccardo Calafiori was absent again that evening, having not played since the win over Crystal Palace before Christmas, stopping off during the warm-up of the following match against Brighton.
As usual, Mikel Arteta revealed absolutely nothing when asked about the status of his injured contingent on Friday, but suggested that within the week the Italy international was “a few weeks” away from returning.
Piero Hincapie was another absentee in midweek after suffering a hamstring injury in the match against Liverpool.
The Ecuador international has been replacing Calafiori at left-back in recent weeks with Myles Lewis-Skelly starting last weekend against Portsmouth.

Arteta, however, opted to name Jurrien Timber at left-back against Chelsea ahead of the Gunners youngster with Ben White on the right.
Cristhian Mosquera, meanwhile, is also recovering from an ankle injury, with Max Dowman still sidelined with an ankle ligament injury.
Arsenal XI to face Forest – Metro Prediction
The return to action of Kai Havertz and the availability of Gabriel Jesus have given Arteta the decision to make up for it.
But for now, he continued to place his face on Gyokeres who played 82 minutes against Chelsea.
Havertz came off the bench against Portsmouth and Chelsea, but may not be ready to start yet after his five-month absence.
