Offseason NBA: top 10 free agents without restrictions still available including Russell Westbrook
The NBA offseason has slowed down. Descent.
This does not mean that the action is over, there are still some things that are worth keeping an eye on. There are still four limited free agents -Jonathan Kuminga (still looking for a sign that gives him about $ 30 million per season), Josh Giddey, Cam Thomas and Quentin Grimes. Also, a The handful of veterans can receive contract extensions, including Luka Doncic (which should sign again with the Lakers, with a minimum drama), Kevin Durant, Tree Young and De’Aron Fox.
And there are still some open points to fill. Here are the 10 best free agents still available, even if at this point he expects that each of them signs for the minimum veteran or a small exception that a team still has available
Note: Not in this list is Malik Beasley, who is a free agent without restrictions but no team will approach him in the light of the Gambling investigation in progress suspended on him.
1) to the Horford
There is not much drama here since Horford should sign with the Warriors. The only reason why it is still available could be the free agency in Corso Kuminga limited, who has warriors who reject other moves until he is over.
Horford is the type of two-way player of High-IQ who should thrive with the Warriors and Steve Kerr’s system. It can mark inside, break down the 3 episoders on the corner and is still a quality defender at the age of 37. Because of age, his minutes must be monitored during the season, but this is a small price for the minutes of quality he gives when he is on the pitch (and you can trust to play in the post-installation).
2) Russell Westbrook
So far, no team has recorded Russell Westbrook’s Russian mountains for the next season. Last season, he scored 13.3 points and 6.1 assists on average for the game for the Nugget and had a good chemistry with Nikola Jokić. However, those solid numbers believe in the ups and downs of the season. When it is in his game, his energy is contagious and still comes with dynamic and athletic games that can change the game. Unfortunately, those can be followed by bad decisions that can cost a team to a team.
Denver could again sign Westbrook after giving up an option of 3.5 million dollars player, but chose to rotate and go in another direction. This could tell for other contending teams. Westbrook has been strongly linked to the King Sacramento.
3) Chris Boucher
Boucher is the type of player requested throughout the League (which makes a little surprise that is available). It is a solid four of rotation level that marked on average 10 points and 4.5 rebounds last season per Toronto and shot 36.3% on almost four 3 points per game. It is the type of player who could connect to many formations and help, and will surprise the fans of where he marks that he has not looked at him in Toronto.
4) Amir Coffee
A key rotation player in a team of 50 wins Clippers last season, the 28 -year -old wing marked on average 9.7 points per game and shot 40.9% from beyond the arch, is also particularly strong on 3s of capture. When the time has come for the playoffs, the coffee was the strange man out of the rotation of Tyronn Lue, but for a team looking for the depth of the wing, the coffee can help.
5) Gary Payton II
It is a bit surprising that it is still available, with teams all over the world looking for defenders who can put pressure on the ball and break down 3 episodes (even if not known as a great shooter, it is a 34% career from beyond the bow). Payton marked on average 6.5 points per game for Warriors last season. A return to the Bay Area is not out of the question, but also the Lakers, the heat, the dollars and the Suns have been connected to Payton.
6) Malcolm Brogdon
Two years ago it was the sixth man of the year, but the injuries have limited him to only 63 combined in the last two seasons (in Portland and Washington), dropping his stocks throughout the League. If healthy, it is worth more than the penalty for a team because it can be a solid part of a guard rotation. He marked on average 12.7 points and 4.1 assists a game last season when he is healthy.
7) Seth curry
Each team needs more shot. Seth Curry shot 45.6% from over the arch of Charlotte last season. Connected to a reserve role in the right team, it could be a push to the rotation of the guard, and was linked to the signature with his brother’s team in the Warriors (however, as with the Horford, all in Golden State seems to be reattached waiting for the Kuminga saga to finish).
8) Trey Lyles
Lyles’ case is similar to Boucher’s: many teams could use a four/small elastic ball and Lyles can play that role from the bench. He scored on average 6.5 points and 4.6 rebounds of a game last season in Sacramento (playing part of this season and the previous one for Mike Brown, if you are looking for a team in which he could have a connection). Some teams will make him fall before the start of the season.
9) Ben Simmons
There will be rolls for the eyes from the fan base of any team signs Simmons. However, if you looked at him when they are healthy with the clippers last season, you have seen a boy who can play a role of rotation of the bench of the regular season in the NBA.
Last season with the Clippers, he scored on average 2.9 points and 3.8 assists in a match in 16 minutes per night, acting from a point forward performing the offense for the second unit, and is still a more defender (he played a wider role in Brooklyn’s reconstruction). It will not take 3S (or even jumpers outside the paint), it will not help in the post -station. However, in a limited role, he could help the right team for the first 82 games.
10) Monte Morris
A veteran rotation guard that is a 38.9% career from over the arch (36% of last season). He showed Lampi last season, but nothing adapted to Phoenix and Morris was part of it. He is not the marker at the age of 30 (his age when he opens the field) who was five years ago, but he could still help a team in need of guard depths.
