Eze withdrew from Palace’s team before his UEFA Conference League victory over Fredrikstad on Thursday after calling the sick when he closes a move to Arsenal.
Glasner said at his press conference before the match that EZE would start, but speculation developed all Thursday that something had changed -and this was confirmed when the Palace Team sheet was released with the Palace manager and led: “He said he was not feeling well”.
And when they were pressed on Eze’s absence again after the match, the Austrian said to Channel 5: ‘EBS will not play for us anymore so it is no sense to talk about him. It’s gone. ‘
Later he told the press conference after the match: ‘I have to apologize to you all because I did not tell the truth yesterday.
“I thought he would play … He called me and said he didn’t feel good. You have to ask him (why), maybe in a few days. No (I don’t think he will play for the club again). ‘
