West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo on his win over Newcastle and his mentality after going behind: “Football is like that, so we don’t really need to work hard. It’s just about realizing that you can be punished but you have to react. You can’t put your head down and think the game is over.

“The reaction was positive. In my opinion it was the best thing that happened to us, the way we did, we reacted to adversity.

“We competed very well, but the process is never finished, a football team is never finished. There is no starting XI, there is a team that we can try and use.

“As long as they are healthy and engaged, we have solutions and options.”
