CAMDEN, NJ – The mind of Andre Drummond has not changed in the last two months.
The Veteran Center will exercise its $ 5 million option for the 2025-26 season to be with the Sixers, according to what has reported by Michael Scotto of Hoopshype.
Drummond indicated that he would probably return to his exit interview.
“There is more work to do,” he said on April 13th. “There are things that are missing that I have not yet completed here, that is winning at the highest levels. And I still feel like this now. I think we still have the pieces to win at the highest levels and think that I can also be an important part of this.
“So my plan is to return. Obviously, whatever happens in the low season, it happens. But my immediate plan is to return here.”
The other two Sixers with the player’s options are Kelly Oubre Jr. ($ 8.4 million) and Eric Gordon (minimum veteran, $ 3.5 million). On Wednesday evening, the number 3 Pick Vj Edgecombe said he was “teammates now” with Gordon, who played next to the Bahamian national team.
Drummond’s 2024-25 season has been interrupted by an annoying accident on the left. The great 31 -year -old man played in 40 games and scored on average 7.3 points and 7.8 rebounds.
The Backup Center tends to be an important place for the Sixers due to the injury of superstar Joel Embiid. Outside Drummond, the Sixer are young in the position. Adem Bona will enter his second season NBA next year and Johni Broome is now in the mix after going to n. 35 in the draft.
