“Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori has issued a stern warning to his Arsenal teammate as they prepare to face off in their upcoming international showdown.”

Riccardo Calafiori has lightheartedly warned his Arsenal teammate Leandro Trossard to “watch out” ahead of Italy’s upcoming clash with Belgium on Thursday.

Calafiori, who joined Arsenal from Bologna this summer in a £42 million move after making waves in Serie A, has quickly become an essential part of the squad. Despite an injury that delayed his debut, the 22-year-old full-back made a stunning first start against Manchester City and has since helped Arsenal secure four consecutive wins.

Now, his focus shifts back to international duty with Italy, as they gear up to face Belgium in the UEFA Nations League. With recent victories over France and Israel, Calafiori is optimistic about Italy’s chances of maintaining their winning momentum.

“I told him to watch out!” Calafiori said, recalling his conversation with Trossard. “Joking aside, he’s a fantastic player and a good friend, but I’ll still be aiming to take home the three points. It’s going to be a challenging match. Belgium has strong players, and so do we. But if we play our game, we can give anyone a tough time. We’ve been in great form in our last two games, and we’re determined to keep that going.”

Thursday’s match will pit Calafiori against his Arsenal teammate, and the Italian defender is eager to earn bragging rights.

“I told him to watch out!” Calafiori joked about his conversation with Trossard. “But seriously, he’s a fantastic player and a great friend. That won’t stop me from trying to bring home the three points, though. It’s going to be a tough match. They have quality players, just like we do. But if we play our game, we can give anyone a hard time. We’ve been strong in our last two matches, and we’re determined to keep that momentum going.”
