Rockets’ Alperen Şengün replaces Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in next weekend’s All-Star Game
Houston Rockets center Alperen Şengün will replace Oklahoma City guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for the All-World team in the All-Star Game on Feb. 15, according to ESPN’s Sham Charania.
Gilgeous-Alexander will be sidelined during the All-Star Game due to an abdominal injury suffered Feb. 3 in a win over the Orlando Magic. He should be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.
Şengün averaged 20.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists this season. The Rockets are 32-19.
