Houston Rockets are exchanging Cam Whitmore with Washington Wizards for two choices of the second round, reports Shams Charania by Espn.

Whitmore, who will turn 21 on July 8, was a choice of the first round of 2023 (n. 20 in total) from the rockets of Villanova. It was the second selection of Houston’s first round that year, following Amen Thompson.

Last season, Whitmore scored on average 9.4 points and three rebounds per game, shooting at 36% of 183 attempts at 3 points. Those numbers came down from his beginner season, when he scored 12.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game, also shooting 36% on 220 shots at 3 points.

However, Whitmore scored 49 games on average in his two seasons with the Rockets, also playing in the GE League to get minutes and develop. In 24 games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, he scored 23 points with 6.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 40% of 3 episodes.
