Rosenior shoots down journalist questions about “Set-Piece FC” who are actually “good at everything”
Yesterday, during the press conference, an annoying journalist said that Arsenal were “Set Piece FC”.
Liam Rosenior wasn’t having it:
“Arsenal are good at everything. They are good at everything,” stressed the new Chelsea boss.

“They have a good team. It’s not about taking the game back. You have to manage your 1% to be as good a team and win in every way possible. I respect them. I think they will respect us, we are a good team too. But no, people can talk. I don’t know who calls them Set-Pièce FC. I certainly don’t. I think they are a team that is very good without the ball. I think they have a very very idea clear on how they want to play with the ball On top of that, they are very, very well organized, with good set piece performances. That’s what you want to be if you want to be successful.
Chelsea will have to compete in all areas to defeat dangerous Arsenal

Well, we would agree with all of that. The fact that they are so good at set pieces wouldn’t be as remarkable if they didn’t keep so many clean sheets, which makes those corners, throws and free kicks match winners when they go in.
Their attack should not be underestimated either, especially with Gabriel Jesus fit again. We will have to do our best to beat them – and not just from set pieces.

Rosenior also said he re-watched Arsenal’s recent matches, including the 1-1 draw against Chelsea not long ago, and spotted some positive matchups his team could take advantage of tomorrow.

In typical managerial style, the new Chelsea boss denied that Wednesday’s game against Arsenal was the most important of his career so far – although it surely is, given the context. Like any coach, he insists that he wants to take it game by game.
