‘She’s back’: Iconic NBA halftime performer Red Panda returns from wrist injury, sports jersey No. 45 by Michael Jordan Bulls in Chicago
The Red Panda is back.
The iconic NBA halftime performer, whose given name is Rong Niu, returned from a broken wrist for a scheduled performance during halftime of Tuesday’s Bulls-76ers game in Chicago. He did so with appropriate showmanship, while wearing a Michael Jordan number 45 jersey for the home crowd in Chicago.

The Bulls teased Red Panda’s performance and his outfit with a pre-game video before Tuesday’s prediction.
For years, Red Panda has been a major player at halftime of NBA games and in other basketball arenas.
He dazzles the crowd as he rides high on an elevated unicycle and throws stacks of bowls from his feet to his head. The show is better seen than described:
If your basketball game is a big one, there’s a good chance Red Panda will provide the halftime entertainment.
But in July, she suffered an injury while performing during the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final between the Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx. Red Panda fell from her unicycle and suffered a serious broken wrist.
But four months later, Red Panda has recovered and is ready to return. Fittingly, she’s making that return to Chicago, where she rose to fame as a regular halftime performer during Jordan-era Bulls games.

And he does it with the number 45 jersey that Jordan wore during his triumphant return to the Bulls after taking a break from basketball to play baseball.
Jordan won three of his six NBA championships after his return. Let’s hope that Red Panda also finds continued success upon his return to court.
