Sixers down the team option of Jared Butler – NBC Sports Philadelphia

The Sixers are decreasing the $ 2.3 million Jared Butler team option for the 2025-26 season, reported Kyle Neuback of PHly on Friday.

The team acquired Butler last season in a commercial agreement that sent Reggie Jackson to Wizards. At the end of the year decimated for the injury of the Sixers, it was their guard point.

Over 28 appearances such as Sixer last season, Butler scored on average 11.5 points, 4.9 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.1 stolen. It shot 42.6 percent from the floor, 35.2 percent from three points and 87 percent on the foul line.

The 24 -year -old appreciated the opportunity to play a stable role and aimed to provide stability and balance with a cast perpetually in exchange for healthy teammates.

“It was fantastic,” Butler said on March 29th. “I think people underestimated … four years have passed and it is my first time to get a stretch of games in which I know I will play.

When everyone is available, the Sixers clearly have multiple guards who would be in front of Butler in the depth table of the coach head Nick Nick, including Tyrese Maxey, Jared McCain and Quentin Grimes. No. 3 Pick Vj Edgecombe is also in the city.

We will see what Free Agency holds for Butler, who has played for four NBA franchises since he was enrolled with the 40th choice in the draft 2021. The free agency will formally begin on Monday at 18:00 et.

The other Sixers team options are Justin Edwards ($ 2 million) and Lonnie Walker IV ($ 2.9 million).
