Despite the voices on the Knicks that offer a contract a Ben Simmons This offseason, SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley, reports that no formal offer was made to the free 29 -year -old agent.
While Begley confirms that New York has certainly had an interest in Simmons and had dialogues with him during the low season, the details of a contract extended by the Knicks and rejected by Simmons are false.
New York has a remaining roster place and some options to fill it, including Simmons. Other players on the Knicks radar are Landry Shamet AND Malcolm BrogdonFor Begley.
Shamet spent last season in New York after signing a one -year agreement while Brogdon played in 24 games for the Washington Wizards after having faced more injuries.
Meanwhile, Simmons has divided the time between the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers last season after a contract purchase ended his three -year period in Brooklyn.
