Talking Points | Skinner looks ahead to Arsenal clash under the lights

We were disappointed not to take something from the spurs

I think the first thing is that we were disappointed with the result (a 1-0 defeat). If I am honest, we did not have the impression that we were doing enough to win it, but we did not have the impression that we should have lost the match either.

Regarding the possession we had, the areas in which we played and the opportunities we created, we had three very good chances and we had to reach the target with them. So, overall, I am disappointed with the result, but in fact, I was satisfied with the form, the configuration and the way we made the game.

There are obviously things to work, in particular the creation of clearer chances, but we have shown in pre-season that we are able to do so. We did not have it entirely transferred to the game, and we will seek to improve this on Friday.

Arsenal constitutes threats everywhere in the field

You always expect a team like Arsenal to have a lot of different threats of attack, with movements that really test your concentration and your organization. The longer matches against them continue, the more obvious it becomes.

They have many players who can put the ball at the back of the net, so you cannot prevent everything, but we will work with diligence to reduce the options they have.

For us, this is also what we do when we have the ball. Not necessarily always in the future, but how we control these parts of the game, keep our confidence and make sure to impose ourselves when we are in possession.
