Ten players to watch during EuroBasket Fiba
Spain has won four of the last six tournaments, of which three of the last five from the event has extended to 24 countries. There will be a lot of competition since Spain will try to keep its title, and there may also be some takeaways fantasy despite the international game (and players’ roles) that differ from the NBA game. Here is a look at ten players who are worth tracing in Eurobasket, starting with a Lakers star who, according to what reported, has worked in excellent physical condition.
Announcement
1. G Luka Dončić, Slovenia (Los Angeles Lakers)
Dončić was the subject of A Health of men characteristicAnd with a good reason, since his physical form was a conversation point during his career in the NBA. With Lebron James who turns 41 in December, it is clear that Dončić will be the player that the Lakers focus their Build list on start -up. While Slovenia was not a medal in the 2022 event, Dončić and Goran Dragic brought the gold team in 2017, with the latter torch in Serbia for 35 points in the final. Dončić will once again open the road to Slovenia, and while the numbers will be observed, its conditioning and health will be observed with much greater control. In the worst case, it will be a choice among the first 5 in the fantasy drafts and the price of Dončić in the wage championships should remain high.
2. F Giannis Antetokounmpo, Greece (Milwaukee Bucks)
Antetokounmpo will once again represent Greece, but the questions that surround its future in Milwaukee remain a conversation point. However, most of the chatter comes from Milwaukee and there was nothing from Giannis. Will he have something to say once Eurobasket concludes? We will see. As for its fantasy value, only a catastrophic injury would change anything for him who was heading towards the 2025-26 season. Antetokounmpo is one of the best players to have elements in fantasy basketball, especially if you are aiming for the percentage of free shooting.
3. C Nikola Jokić, Serbia (Denver Nuggets)
We all know what Jokić brings to the table in fantasy basketball; He finished at the top of the rankings in the value four per game of the last five seasons, and was first or second in the total value in five consecutive. Like Slovenia, Serbia was unable to medal at the previous Eurobasket after doing it in 2017 and won bronze at the 2024 summer Olympics in Paris. With Jokić by opening the road, Serbia is one of the favorite of the medal this summer. From the NBA point of view, the Nuggets made some necessary updates in this offseason, acquiring Cameron Johnson from the nets and strengthening the bench with the additions of Bruce Brown and Jonas Valanciunas. Jokic should be a top 3 choice again in fantasy drafts, regardless of format, and nothing outside a serious injury suffered during Eurobasket would change it.

As for the updates of the roster, the Rockets also made this summer, acquiring Kevin Durant with sun in a package that included Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks. How does this impact feel? It has an average of 5.0 and 4.9 assists per game in the last two seasons, and this is with the lack of constant perimeter shooters of Rockets. The addition of a shooter of the caliber of Durant can lift the ceiling of Sengun as a facilitator, through the brands of KD or the other rockets that make it appear cleaner. Sengun’s fantasy value was successful last season, due to his score down two points per game. However, he shot almost 54 percent from the field and made an average of 10.3 career rebounds per game. A top-50 player in formats by eight cats, Sengun can offer similar production in 2025-26, also with the addition of Durant and Amen Thompson who potentially appear more prominently in the offense.

With Porzingis who headed towards a contractual year and the Celtics trying to restore their finances following Jayson Tatum’s accident, it was clear that KP would be in motion. Boston exchanged it in Atlanta, where the question of this summer is if Porzingis will begin next to Onyeka Okongwu or if one of them leaves the bench. While a precious fantasy option when available, Porzingis played only in 42 games last season and the stamina was a problem following an end of season disease. Porzingis seemed healthy in the pre-three exhibitions of Latvia, which is a good sign. However, an excellent tournament would do a lot to face the concerns of the uncertain fantasy managers on when they should enlist Porzingis.
6. F Franz Wagner, Germany (Orlando Magic)
While the injury limited Wagner to 60 games last season, he offered an excellent category value in the league when he is healthy, ranking in the top 50 in formats of eight and nine cats. Not only does it have the opportunity to use Eurobasket as a launching pad in the 2025-26 season, but the magical striker will try to lead the reigning champions of the Fiba Basketball World Cup to their first continental title since 1993 (Germany won bronze in 2022). Wagner finished last season with middle -improved mediums, rebounds, assist, stolen and three episodes while shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 87.1 percent from the foul line. While teammate Paolo Banchero was the favorite goal in the first simulated drafts I participated in, don’t sleep on Wagner. A good performance in Eurobasket would probably increase its fantasy value.
7. F Lauri Markkanen, Finland (Utah Jazz)
If his race through the exhibitions of Finland were an indication of what will come, Markkanen will walk the total of the bright points. If it is enough to bring Finland out of the group stage it could be another question. As for Markkanen’s fantasy prospects in 2025-26, managers willing to look elsewhere cannot be blamed. With the Utah apparently intent on doing everything you need to land Cooper Flagg, Markkanen was limited to 47 games due to an injury and his production slipped when he played. The talent necessary to recover is undoubtedly there, but what Markkanen does for jazz next season could be out of hand if the front office decides to adopt once again the approach to play the chances of the lottery.
8. F Deni Avdija, Israel (Portland Trail Blazers)
After a solid 2023-24 season with the Wizards, Avdija took another step forward in his first season with the Blazer Trail. Starting the season as a reserve, in the end he would move to the initial formation at the end of December. A choice of late rounds based on its Yahoo! ADP, Avdija was close to a top-75 player with a value per game by eight cats and was classified inside that total threshold. A question for him who will not be answered during Eurobasket is how Portland’s initial formation will appear now that Jerami Grant is healthy. Will Avdija start the season as an appetizer or will it come out of the bench? Regardless of the place inside the rotation, it will still offer a solid value, but being an appetizer increases the ceiling of Avdija as a round director for himself and his teammates.
9. F/C Santi Alfama, Spain (Memphis Grizzlies)
Initially a player who is worth taking a Filer at the end of the round, Aldama’s fantasy value is influenced by the appetizers Jaren Jackson Jr. (Toe) and Zach Edey (ankle) subjected to out of season interventions. Neither is guaranteed to be ready for the start of the Grizzlies training field, which increases the value of Aldama in fantasy drafts. Last season, he was classified just outside the first 100 in formats of eight and nine cats; Good luck to bring him to drafts in addition to that threshold due to Jackson and Edey’s injuries. Aldama is coming out of a season in which he has published medium in his career in points, rebounds, assists, stolen and three episodes despite having played 25.5 minutes per game.
10. F/C Alexandre Sarr, France
The French Eurobasket team includes the first two choices in the draft last summer, but Sarr has a more significant role with his NBA team next season compared to Zaccharie Roseacher in Atlanta. Finished fourth in the votes of Rookie of the Year, Sarr appeared in 67 games for the Wizards, with an average of 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.6 three episodes. However, the inefficient filming had a negative impact on its fantasy value, with Sarr barely a top-150 player in formats of eight cats. Next season will be another reconstruction for the Wizards, so the opportunities will be there for the younger players of the team. However, fantasy managers will need a more efficient Sarr to receive a solid value on their investment.
