The admission of two words by Alexander Isak puts Arsenal in the transfer seat
Alexander Isak has already clarified his feelings on Martin Odegaard since Arsenal aims to reject the champions of the Liverpool Premier League and finally sign the Newcastle striker
The comment of two words by Alexander Isak on Martin Odegaard could give Arsenal the advantage while their long search for Newcastle forward continues. The Gunners have been connected with the Swedish striker for years, even before his 63 million pounds move to the Gazze di Real Sociedad in 2022.
Odegaard, who was on loan from Real Madrid, and Isak were teammates in Sociedad during the 2019/20 season. The couple hit a strong relationship inside and off the pitch, with Isak even in Branding Odegaard his “best friend” in the team.
Speaking together during their season, Isak said: “We have an excellent contact and thrive well together. It is natural that it will be my best friend of the team. It was well known as a cult for having it on the same”.
The Gunners hope that Bond remains as they finally try to get an agreement on the line for their long -term goal. This is not a formality, with Liverpool that enters the race to sign the striker, who scored 23 goals in the Premier League in 2024/25.
The British champions have already spent great in the transfers market this summer, signing the right back Jeremie Frimpong by Bayer Leverkusen for about 30 million pounds. In the meantime, director Florian Wirtz has arrived in the city to complete his club record for a value of £ 116.5 million.
The signature of Isak, whose Newcastle contract has remained three years, would be a real declaration of intent on the rest of the Premier League. The man himself, however, has already suggested that he would adapt to the Reds system under the tool slot.
Speaking in front of the final of the Carabao Cup between the sides, Isak said: “I really like games against Liverpool, because I think they are not too different from ourselves, a high pressure team and a direct team, which can lead to many counter -acts, and this is the game I like.”
Newcastle, of course, will be desperate to keep their stellar striker while preparing for their return to the Champions League. By addressing the speculation on his future in March, Isak was not demanding, saying: “I think this club can get great things. We should watch one season at a time and in this season we can get a victory of a trophy, which would be surprising for everyone.
“My future is really nothing I think. I have said many times to do a season that concentrates only at work, now it is probably the worst moment to think of anything else.”
However, Arsenal hopes that the prospect of rekindling his relationship with Captain Odegaard influences Isak’s great decision in their favor.
An agreement for Benjamin Seskso or Viktor Gyokoker, however, seems much more likely at this stage. A new number nine is seen as fundamental as Arsenal seems to go from “almost men” to the winners after three subsequent classified in the Premier League.
The great Club Thierry Henry has made his feelings clearly, saying to the stick to football podcast: “Everyone screamed for nine, apart from winning, by the way. When we beat Real Madrid, we don’t need nine. No, you need nine”.
