The star of Arsenal Jurrien Timber told fans to expect a “committed” summer transfer window while the Gunners are preparing to spend big. Mikel Arte’s team has funds to invest after having to settle for second place in the Premier League for the third consecutive season.

First through the door it seems to be Martin Zubimeni, with Arsenal ready to pay his release clause of £ 51 million and reject the interests of Real Madrid. The Spaniard, 26 years old, will offer a new element in the midfield of Arte, but it is in the foreground where the fans’ focus is located.

The Gunners are evaluating a move for one by Viktor GyokoKes or Benjamin Sesko. Sporting Lisbon Striker Gyokeres scored 54 goals last season, while the 22 -year -old RB Leipzig Prospect Sesko has young people on his side and is a long -term target.

The alternatives include the striker of the Aston Villa Ollie Watkins and Goncalo Ramos of Paris Saint-Germain, since the signature of dreams Alexander Isak was considered too expensive. Anyone who ends up guiding the attack of Arte in the new mandate, Timber expects more business to be made in other areas.

“It will certainly be busy for Arsenal,” said the Dutch defender in Podcast Matchday. “I think we will have many players, because last season we had so many injuries. At one point we have not almost been players. So for the depth of the players they certainly want to get players.”

Timber’s position could be threatened, having played mainly to the right back from his arrival from £ 34 million from Ajax in 2023. Arsenal is believed that he is looking at a series of full -backs in addition to work to strengthen the midfield and attack.

Gunners’ blanket Josh Kroenke recently offered a suggestion on the club’s approach to summer after another season without a trophy. “We plan to invest to go back to win and do better next season,” wrote Kroenke to supporters in May.

“We are pleased to have our sports director, Andrea [Berta]which will play an important role in this. It is part of a unified and strong team, supported by the Board of Directors, which is crystalline exactly on what we have to do and on the way we want to do it.

“In the right way. The arsenal way. In the end, we all want the same thing. We are hungry for success like you and this applies to all those who work for the club.”

Towards the end of the campaign, Arta was asked if he felt supported by the club hierarchy. “Yes, but it’s not something new,” replied the director of the Gunners. “They have always supported the team, the club in the best possible way will not be different in the summer.”
