The Highest Score 100: The biggest rises and falls in the rankings as we head into Week 11 of fantasy basketball
The High Score 100, or the 100 best players in Yahoo’s new fantasy basketball format, is a constant reflection of year-to-date performances and production trends. Each weekly update notes who is actually delivering value and who is slipping away.
Here’s a recap of the biggest hits and misses during week 10 of fantasy basketball, with the full top 100 rating at the bottom of the article. I will update my rankings every Tuesday throughout the fantasy basketball season.

Before delving into the merits, the fantasy community breathes a sigh of relief. Nikola Jokić hyperextended his left knee on Monday and is expected to miss at least four weeks, according to reports. The injury comes just after Jokić turned in his most prolific fantasy performance of the season, dropping 108 High Score points after demolishing Minnesota on Christmas Day.
Since the injury occurred after the Week 10 leaderboard freeze, Jokić remains stable in this week’s update. But for managers struggling to fill that void, Jonas Valančiūnas is the clear replacement. He will absorb a steady diet of frontcourt minutes and touches while Jokić is sidelined.
📈 Lifts: From breakouts to comebacks
Collin Gillespie – G, Phoenix Suns: 91st overall (⬆️ 49)
This came out of nowhere. Gillespie jumps from no. 140 at n. 91 and earns a rightful place among the biggest risers of the week. Since entering the starting lineup in late November, he has been a problem for opponents, averaging 17.2 points, 5.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds and a pair of plays per game over his last 13 games.
Announcement
Gillespie has been an indispensable asset in all formats for production, providing points, rebounds and assists from the guard spot. He is fearless, efficient and thrives in an expanded role for Phoenix. With Jalen Green still sidelined, Gillespie is getting top-100 High Score value this season and has moved up to top-40 in the last two weeks. Fantasy managers should continue to ride the wave until the situation changes.
Jaren Jackson Jr. – FC, Memphis Grizzlies: 82nd overall (⬆️ 14)
Just a couple of weeks ago, JJJ was on my fail list. Now it’s going up again. He’s found life, averaging 46.2 fantasy points over the past two weeks, ranking in the top 25 in High Score. After posting consecutive 50-plus fantasy point games, he finally looks like the player managers chose: active on defense and hitting 3s while showing more effort on the glass.
Announcement
He’s averaging 22.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.7 blocks over his last six games, and his fantasy stock is trending back toward early-round territory. However, I’d like to sell because if he doesn’t block shots, JJJ’s value is limited to points and 3s.
Kawhi Leonard – G/FC, LA Clippers: 22nd overall (⬆️ 13)
What a week. Kawhi dropped a career-high 55 points in the win over Detroit on Sunday, adding 11 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 blocks for good measure. He averaged 41.3 points per game through Week 10, and it’s clear that this new version of the Clippers requires him to be more aggressive on offense.
Kawhi is supporting him on his way to a career full of points per game. He has been the second-best player in terms of performance per game over the past two weeks, averaging 64.6 fantasy points in High Score.

📉 Fallers: same names, same problems
Quentin Grimes – G/FC, Philadelphia 76ers: 117th overall (⬇️ 27)
For the second week in a row, Grimes ends up in the failed section. His scoring plummeted, dropping to 10.1 points on 35% shooting in December. There isn’t enough volume available at the moment in a reserve role with the Sixers’ stars finally healthy(ish).
While I would still keep Grimes in 12-team, 9-cat leagues, fantasy managers can safely move forward with the highest rating.
Myles Turner – FC, Milwaukee Bucks: 115th overall (⬇️ 18)
Turner was more than disappointing. He finally broke out of his slump on Monday, scoring 43 fantasy points. However, this is a Week 10 update and in three games last week he did not eclipse 27 fantasy points.
Announcement
Having Giannis Antetokounmpo back in the lineup should help his fantasy value moving forward, but proceed with caution because Turner is still shooting a career-low 42% from the field, dropping his scoring to 12.6 points per game, his lowest in the last four seasons. Turner remains an asset in all formats thanks to his blocks, but is becoming less and less of a high scoring player.
Deandre Ayton – FC, Los Angeles Lakers: 110th overall (⬇️ 15)
Ayton’s slide continues as he drops from No. 95 to No. 110. He has been too inconsistent on a nightly basis, making it difficult to trust putting him in your lineups every night. Ayton has been a low-end double-double all year, and that’s not particularly valuable in the High Score rankings, with rebounds yielding just 1 point.
The only hope would be for Ayton to improve his scoring, assist rate or actions, which is a lot to expect. The bright side: In the last five games without Austin Reaves, Ayton has played much better. However, I wouldn’t be mad if fantasy managers decided to abandon him for a more interesting retirement.
