7

The New York Knicks entered Wednesday night’s game having lost four straight, but you would never have known it with the way they annihilated the Brooklyn Nets at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks won 120–66, their margin of victory of 54 points a team record. It could have been even worse: at one point the Knicks were leading by 59 points.

The 54-point margin of victory easily shattered the Knicks’ previous record of 48, achieved three times (in 1994, 1972, and 1968).

Jalen Brunson led the way for New York with 20 points, and five other Knicks scored in double figures. They shot 57% as a team, including 50% from 3 (16 of 32).

The Nets, in comparison, shot a macabre 29% from the field (23 of 79). They were also soundly beaten on the scoreboard (56-27) and in the assist department (28-15).
