The Mavericks at Bucks game postponed Sunday because Dallas is unable to fly due to inclement weather

THE winter storm that killed at least two people and more than a million people without electricity are also impacting the NBA schedule.

Sunday’s scheduled game between the visiting Mavericks and the Bucks was postponed because Dallas could not fly out of town to Milwaukee for the game, the league announced. No reschedule date has been set (although it’s likely after the All-Star break, reports Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News). The league had hoped Dallas could leave today and play the game tomorrow, but freezing temperatures prevented the plane from being de-iced, Townsend added.

This is the second game canceled on Sunday, Denver at Memphis has also been postponed due to weather conditions in the Memphis area.

These weren’t the only changes.

Monday’s game between Indiana and Atlanta will now begin earlier, at 1:30 pm ET.

Along the same lines, the Philadelphia-Charlotte game will now begin at 3:00 PM ET.
