The warriors opposed the Jonathan Kuminga trade in Kings – NBC Sports Bay Area and California

While the Jonathan Kuminga saga awaits a resolution, there is still a lot of buzz surrounding the imminent future of young warriors forward.
Sad Rodriguez of the NBC Sports California reported on Wednesday that the kings, the warriors and the pistons of Detroit were discussing a trade in three successful teams that would have sent Kuminga to the sacrament.
Rodriguez reported that the structure of the agreement would revolve around Golden State who received the first round of 2024 Devin Carter and the former Warriors Big Man Dario Šarić and two draft choices of the second round, while Sacramento would have sent Malik Monk to Detroit, eliminating a path for Kuminga on the ground in the capital of California.
The Warriors opposed the Kings offer for Kuminga, feeling that the proposal was an attempt to purchase, according to Athletic’s Anthony Slater reported, citing sources of the League.
Golden State has extended a qualifying offer from $ 7.9 million to Kuminga last weekend, starting a limited free agency that has to face problems similar to players in situations comparable at the championship level due to the lack of teams that have a wealth of space for wage capital.
Kuminga has marked on average 12.5 points on 50.7 percent of the field shooting in four seasons of the NBA since it was selected by the Warriors n. 7 in total in the draft of 2021.
While it remains to be seen what compensation the warriors would have felt comfortable to separate from Kuminga, it is clear that the initial offer of the kings still has a way of going before any agreement materializes between the two Franchising of North California.
