THREE stars up for sale including ‘talent of the century’ as Andrea Berta gets ruthless

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is ready to sell up to three first-team stars in the January transfer window, including a winger who hugely impressed former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, according to The daily mail.

Jesus is on the mend after an ACL injury suffered against Manchester United in January 2025, with Arsenal aiming to get him “fit enough for some playing time next month and showcase his talents to potential suitors”.

“If a reasonable offer comes in, they will look to sell the striker in January,” the report notes, although Jesus recently said it “doesn’t make sense” for him to leave Arsenal midway through the season.

Could Martinelli, Jesus and White all leave Arsenal?

It would be a shock if Martinelli, Jesus and White all left Arsenal in the January transfer window.

With Arsenal doing well in the Premier League and Champions League at the moment, manager Arteta and sporting director Berta will be mindful not to deplete the team with sales.

As Arsenal aim to become champions of England and Europe this season, the north London club would be wise to retain players such as Martinelli.

Journalist Graeme Bailey reported of Man City and White: “Ben White, from what I’ve been told, he’s on board.

“However, there is a source of frustration there, he is not going to spend the rest of his career sitting on the bench.

“Let’s not beat around the bush. He’s not someone who really wants to go abroad, at least not to Saudi Arabia.

“There is a lot of interest in him on the continent from Atletico Madrid and Juventus.

“The other one I’ve heard who are monitoring his situation, because they think he could be a really good fit for them as a right-back, is Man City. He would probably suit their system, so it makes sense.

“Arsenal are not going to mess around with this team. As we have seen previously, with players like (Jakub) Kiwior, Arsenal are always going to err on the side of caution.

“I’m not saying he’s knocking on Arteta’s door at the moment, but he’s aware of the situation.

“He is not looking to be released but there are clubs evaluating him.

“We know that at Atletico, (Nahuel) Molina could leave, and they have (Marcos) Llorente, so they need that as well.

“I think it’s one for the summer.”
