The two -way contract player of Sixers, Hunter Sallis, sat down with an ankle sprain and is day by day, according to Athletic’s Tony Jones.

Summer Sixers will face thunder on Monday evening. Here are observations on their open:

Broome-bon frontcourt

Adem Bona threw the first circle of the night home with an emphatic crush from the pick-and-rock. Next time, Rookie Johni Broome sank a Tre-Pointer Pick-and-Pop assisted by EdgeCombe.

Both Broome and Bona were looking forward to playing in a double -edged formation.

“He is a great teammate,” said Broome Wednesday in Bona at the Sixers Summer League Minicamp. “Speak, he leads for example, he is an available worker. He is about to put extra work. Super athletic, super rebound. It will be really fun to play with him.”

The Sixers later used Broome in the center with Bona on the bench.

The lack of vertical pop of Broome was evident on some occasions. Adama Sanogo swept away one of his layups. However, the 22 -year -old showed his physical strength and the know -how inside. Broome has recognized his possibilities of obtaining deep catches and marking on smaller players, marked three offensive rebounds and designed five free shots (3 by 5). He finished with 13 points in 24 minutes.

Bona played with its typical energy and explosiveness in a 16 -point trip and eight rebounds.

Dangerous edgecombe in transition

The five start of the Sixers were Jalen Hood-Schifino, Edgecombe, Justin Edwards, Broome and Bona.

Hood-Schifino was the guard of the starting point and Edgecombe received many repetitions on the ball in the second half. Almost all the perimeter players raised the ball sometimes in the heavy offense of Sixers’ transition.

Edgecombe prosperous in the open. He marked his first basket on a difficult shot that has elusive the great jazz man Filipowski. The Baylor product added another rapid salient moment in the second quarter when he took a defensive rebound and then went in front of everyone as he went to a coast slap from coast.

Although he did not have a good long-distance shooting night (1 by 7 from three points), Edgecombe shot a jumper pull-up fluid at the end of the first quarter and generally appeared quite comfortable within the medium-range radius. He did not hesitate to shoot open shots both from capture and dribbling.

Edgecombe’s work on the scoreboards was also a bright point. He showed the features that made him a strong rebound of the guard to college and, thanks largely to hustle and athleticism, ended up leading the Sixer in that category.

Sixers’ effort is not a problem

The Sixers struggled to perform an offense in the middle of the production field and shot 4 by 22 beyond the arch. Edwards started 2 by 10 from the floor. Mark Armstrong went 0 by 7.

Despite those shooting problems, the Sixers remained behind in the game at the end of the third quarter. The guard of the backup point Judah Mintz played an annoying defense and was the best Sixers’ bench player. EdgeCombe provided Bona for a dunk that linked the 66-tutti race at the beginning of the fourth.

While the effort level tends to understand understandably at the Summer League, Edgecombe’s approach was certainly not accidental. A few seconds after a blocking of chase on the former choice of the first round of Sixers Jaden Springer, EdgeCombe converted a layup and one.

The execution of Utah was at the end was a little better along the stretch.

Edwards trampled on the sidelines with 12.9 seconds left, Edgecombe lost an attempt to jumper who was game and jazz marked a home victory.
