Wayne Rooney picks the better signing between Arsenal’s Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko at Man United

Andrea Berta worked her magic to bring nine top players to Arsenal over the summer, and Wayne Rooney rated some of them, including Viktor Gyokeres.

The former Premier League striker was asked to rate some of the Premier League’s best signings, and he discussed several new Arsenal stars.

One of the players discussed was Benjamin Sesko, who signed for Manchester United over the summer after Arsenal walked away from a deal.

As Andrea Berta searched for a new number nine for the Gunners, Sesko was on Arsenal’s list of targets, but personal terms were never agreed.

The 22-year-old has had a mixed start to life at Old Trafford, and now Wayne Rooney has rated him against Mikel Arteta’s signing of Gyokeres.

Wayne Rooney chooses Viktor Gyokeres over Benjamin Sesko

Rooney believes Viktor Gyokeres was a better signing for the Gunners than Benjamin Sesko was for Man United.

Gyokeres has had a mixed start at Arsenal, but last weekend against Burnley showed why he can be so important to the Gunners.

In the 2-0 win at Turf Moor, Viktor Gyokeres ended his Premier League goal drought to make it six in total for the season.

The former Man United man actually gave Gyokeres one of the highest ratings, with four stars out of a possible five for his signing.

Meanwhile, Sesko was given a two star rating out of five by Rooney, given that he hasn’t really scored many goals for the Red Devils.

The Slovenia international has scored just two goals in 11 appearances for United, and some at Arsenal will breathe a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, Gary Neville is also unsure about Sesko, with all indications that the Gunners made the right choice in going for Gyokeres.

Wayne Rooney rates Bryan Mbeumo higher than Eberechi Eze

Eberechi Eze was another Arsenal signing that Rooney rated out of five, and he gave the Gunners’ new £68 million man three stars.

This meant he was above Florian Wirtz and Anthony Elanga, but he was actually below Bryan Mbeumo.

Eze has been very good at Arsenal since moving to London, and his performances are yet to receive the recognition they deserve.

The 27-year-old will be key to Arteta’s side this weekend for the trip to Sunderland, and he will be hoping for his big breakout moment in the clash.
