Arsenal V Leeds: What has been said?

Despite its newly promoted side on its way into the collision as sub -dogs, Leeds Boss insisted that his team will not just sit back and defend himself against the Premier League’s big name clubs this season.

He said before the Arsenal match: “We will not sell our DNA during this Premier League season.

“It’s not like we will try to park the bus and try to put the ball on the tribun. If you try to concentrate and defend for 96 minutes, you have no chance to survive there.

“You have to make sure you have as many periods as possible when you check the ball and recover you in possession and let them switch and waste some energy without the ball.

We will try to have as many periods as possible where we check the game.

“I think it is important to create chances to scare them and be dangerous themselves and play positive football to try to score goals.

“There will be periods in the game where we will suffer and be well structured and be a compact unit against the ball.”
