It was a disappointing evening for Gunners that former Arsenal star Nicolas Pepe did for Villarreal, and they hope for improved performance and results here.

Leandro Trossard and Riccardo Califiori also missed.
But the trio is expected to play at least some part of this game.

Arsenal vs Athletic Bilbao: What has been said?
Arteta was pleased with Gyokere’s first start in an Arsenal shirt.
He said: “We already broke that line today because I think it was very important for him to start a match and start having the feeling and connection to the team.
“I think he has built connections outside, which I think is really important with players who will help him get in the position he needs to enter.
“At his fitness level, I think he has not really trained with the team in two months, so he has now done six or five sessions, I think, before today.
“So I believe in Saturday again he will take another step and he will be in better condition.”
He is also convinced that he will be ready to meet Manchester United on the opening weekend.
“I think mentally and understand what he needs to do, he will be 100 percent or more because he is also so willing and so sure he can deliver immediately.
“I don’t doubt he’ll be in a really good place.”
