Wrexham to continue transferring raid with plot to sign ex-Arsenal star
The Center-back, which spent seven seasons on the Emirate before making a permanent move to Aston Villa in 2022, could be prepared to join the recently promoted championship side Wrexham for the 2025/26 campaign.

Chambers, 30, changed Villa for Cardiff City just last summer and spent a season in the championship before meeting the relegation for the first time since 2003.
He could soon climb out of League One Dock and joined North Wale’s side Wrexham as they enjoy their campaign at the second level of English football for the first time in 43 years.
Chambers sought two goals in 41 performances from Cardiff’s backline last season and was announced as the club’s new captain earlier in August.
Before his departure in 2022, he made 122 performances for Premier League Giants Arsenal after a promising youth career at Southampton.
He struggled to find a regular place in Gunners’ squad and spent time on loan at Middlesbrough and Fulham.
He again found life in the Premier League tough with villa and failed to impress manager Unai Emery.
Chambers spent more time on the bench than on the pitch during his enchantment in West Midlands and looked to leave the club long before his possible move to Cardiff in July 2024.
While life in Wales really seemed more fruitful to chambers, a season in League One may be less appealing.
He played a crucial role during Cardiff’s offer 2024/25 – both in the midfield and in defense – revived his career after falling out of advantage at previous clubs.
Chambers, who spoke in front of his Sida’s 0-0-O-made with Port Vale last week, admitted that he “buzzed” to start the season.

“The style we play and the identity we have,” he said. “It works incredibly with the group and players we have. I feel that there is a real identity about us and a way for us in the way we want to play. Vibe around the place is really good.
“It was really nice (to be appointed as the captain). When I found out it is a nice feeling that the players think that way for you.
“It’s a new challenge and a new role for me. I haven’t had it before. I feel that I am at a time in my career which is a good time for it. It’s like a new challenge for me, so I look forward to it.”
Wrexham’s big summer review
It has been an incredible trip for Wrexham, who dotted the National League 2022.
Their rapid growth has partly been attributed to the takeover of Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelheny 2021- took the club’s value up to £ 150 million, an increase of 7,400% since their arrival.
Stadium expansion, documentary offers and an increase in fans all over the world, Wrexham has transformed its production from a local page into a global phenomenon.

Reynolds and Mcelhenney has created a domino effect of celebrity owner of the football world, with NFL icon Tom Brady who became a minority owner in Birmingham City.
Their meteoric climb has enabled them to pen with Kieffer Moore, Conor Coady and Lewis O’Brien this summer, and sprinkle almost £ 13 million to strengthen their squad.
That was before the crushed club’s transfer record to sign Nathan Broadhead from Ipswich Town in a deal worth £ 10 million – triple their previous record agreement.
Chambers would join a backline consisting of Coady, Lewis Brown and 23-year-old academic degree Max Cleworth.
They met a tough start to the 2025/26 campaign and lost 2-1 to the former Premier League page Southampton which moved with seven games left on 2024/25.
Wrexham returns to action tomorrow when they host West Brom at Stok Cae Ras Stadium.
