Arsenal crowned Premier League champions of the international break

Arsenal will return to the Premier League this weekend in fine form after edging out Tottenham by a point to become International Break champions.
Fortunately, the second international break of the season is now over, allowing Premier League clubs to get their players back in time for matchday eight.
Some will return more quickly than others. The English can now focus on their place in Thomas Tuchel’s team after sealing qualification for the World Cup final. On the other hand, Swedish boys, including big summer signings from Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle, are buzzing.
No side will be happier than Arsenal. Not only are they top of the Premier Leaguebut Mikel Arteta’s players have enjoyed more collective success over the past week and a half than any other club, even as Spurs have brought the Gunners desperately close.
How do we know? Mathematics, in fact.
Each international call-up brings his club the points won in international selection, whether they were during World Cup qualifiers or friendly matches. Three for a victory; one for a draw. Only senior call-ups count.
Based on this, we can crown Arsenal the first (and perhaps last) champion of the F365 International Break. Shirt patches are in the mail…
