Viktor Gyokeres set to wear number 14 shirt at Arsenal
Arsenal fans are now eagerly awaiting the official confirmation that Viktor Gyokeres has joined the Gunners, following David Ornstein’s report that a ‘total agreement’ has been reached.
The Gunners are expected to pay an initial fee of €63.5m with a further €10m in add-ons and the pressure has just increased on the Swedish striker with his latest decision.
Gyokeres is set to take the number 14 shirt at Arsenal, famously worn by club legend Thierry Henry during his spell in North London.
Henry became Arsenal’s all-time record goal scorer with 228 goals across two spells and the Swede will want to hit the ground running upon his arrival.

Bukayo Saka laughs at William Saliba amid fan request
With the players mixing with fans out in Asia, there are still some serious concerns over the future of William Saliba at the club.
The French defender is under contract until 2027 and whilst talks are ongoing over a new deal, there has been no agreement as of yet.
One fan has taken matters into his own hands and was heard shouting: “Saliba, sign the contract, sign the contract!”
This amused several of Saliba’s teammates, most notably Bukayo Saka, who is yet to agree a new deal at the club himself.
Whilst there has been success in the transfer market so far this summer, Berta will want to tie down two of his most important players at the club.

Rio Ferdinand reveals what he has heard about Max Dowman at Arsenal
Rio Ferdinand has revealed that he has been hearing rave reviews coming out of the club over 15-year-old talent Max Dowman.
Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast ‘Rio Reacts’ the former Manchester United defender believes the Gunners have unearthed yet another top talent.
Ferdinand stated: “Max Dowman. Don’t forget that name, guys. Max Dowman. Hale End and Arsenal have produced another young gem.
“They’ve got Nwaneri coming through too, I think this season could be a breakout year, proper breakout year. I hope it will be.”
