Opening round series can often be a disaster in the NBA playoffs. This first-round duo between the Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers can be something better.

The first game of what should be a very close series begins Saturday in Cleveland, and I have a parlay of the same game that draws options from interesting situations and circumstances for both teams.

The Cleveland Cavaliers draw first blood at home against a Toronto Raptors team that was cursed in the playoff series opener. The Raptors are 4-12 SU in Game 1 games since 2014. Cleveland has the inside scoring and tightens the bolts on defense when they have to.
Not all fans may be familiar with Dean Wade of the Cavaliers. However, the 6-foot-9 forward plays a big role in how Cleveland defends Toronto. He is expected to jump into the starting lineup and log more minutes than his standard 21 per game.

When Wade gets more than 25 minutes of floor time, his rebounding rate increases to five rebounds per game.

Scottie Barnes will get a lot of touches for Toronto, especially if point guard Immanuel Quickley is limited (questionable). When he went down in March, Barnes became the Raptors’ primary ball-handler and his assist production soared.

He has given out seven or more dimes in eight of his last twelve outings.
