The 6-foot-5 guard gives LA a burst of energy off the bench, boosting his scoring to over 20 points per game since the start of February. Mathurin has been particularly strong in his last nine outings, averaging nearly 23 points since March 7.

Contributing to the point accumulation was a schedule full of subpar defenses. Four of those last nine games have come against teams ranked bottom 4 in defensive rankings after the All-Star break (Indiana, Milwaukee, Sacramento, Memphis), along with 26 points against Chicago (21st).
