Fear during Fiorentina-Inter. In the 17th minute of the match, while the teams were protesting a goal disallowed by Lautaro, the home player Edoardo Bove collapsed to the ground unnaturally. All the players from both teams loudly called for the intervention of the doctors (the first calls came from the visiting bench) and surrounded the Viola midfielder as happened with Eriksen during Euro 2021.

After a few moments of great tension, with the Franchi stadium completely silent, the player was taken to hospital by ambulance. The match, as happened during last season with Udinese-Roma due to the fainting of Giallorosso Ndicka, was immediately suspended by the referee and the teams left the field, while the fans remained in the stands awaiting news about Bove’s condition.

The players from both teams were in shock, many of them in tears. The tension and fear over Bove’s condition were evident from the first moments after he collapsed and was taken to hospital in an ambulance five minutes later. There were also moments of anger at the time: Luca Ranieri, Bove’s teammate, grabbed one of the doctors on the pitch for not acting quickly.

The official announcement of the match’s postponement was announced over the stadium’s public address system at 18:35, around 20 minutes after the incident. Lega Serie A confirmed it on its official website: “The match will not be resumed and will be postponed to a later date. With the ball stopped, Bove fell to the ground and the situation immediately became very serious.” David De Gea posted a message on X, “God, please , which perfectly identifies the feelings of all Italian football fans in these minutes.
